Biskey Bowness is ideally situated in the village of Bowness. We are lucky enough to enjoy peaceful surroundings yet only minutes from the town centre and approximately 0.4 miles from the shores of Lake Windermere.

Bowness-on-Windermere is a beautiful part of the Lake District National Park with restaurants and bars all within a 5-10 mins walk from the house, so no need to drive everywhere, meaning everyone can relax.

There are also great car/bus links to the rest of the Lakes and the country with the railway station 1.2 miles away in Windermere village and the M6 motorway only 29 mins drive away. The nearest bus stop is outside the Royalty Cinema, Bowness, situated on the main road in the village. There are regular buses and additional Tourist open top services throughout the summer season.

A short walk from the centre of Bowness is Cockshot Point on the lake shore. It’s the perfect place for a family picnic and a paddle in the lake.

Alternatively walk 4–5-minutes from the house, up Biskey Howe Road and through a small, wooded area, it takes you to the Biskey Howe viewpoint. The beautiful and tucked-away corner gives fantastic views over the lake.

We would love to host you, in our apartment. Send us a message with any questions you may have.
